It's a legitimate argument and wasn't considered. Not going to argue the reasons and needs for the lanes and Osborne for flight space, just not in the game to give and not receive in return.

Just talked to SDORC about the fight to open Patton Valley. We're in on it.

It's a gigantic shitshow getting in there with the random closure areas. On top of that, it makes for dangerous recoveries since that was the easier spot to get in and out of to limp a vehicle.

It'll just make them worse between Gecko, Sunset, Olds, and the Washes.

The crowd that makes SxS breadcrumbs between destinations just drives straight to GPS coords. I assume China Wall will replace Swingset now.
 
I actually think, with less destination riding, fewer people will go to the dunes. There is a very large group of people that only go to destinations, these include Sand Drags, Swing Set, Sunset Hill, and Olds. The destinationers will get bored and go back to Ocotillo or somewhere else?
 
I have never used GPS in Glamis (yet) and can almost get most places. 60% of the time, I reach my chosen destination 100% of the time, eventually.

I just need more trips. Cutting across the dunes I'm good to get where I need to be, once I hit Gecko or Wash Road, I may go find a Wash sign or Pad sign to see whether I got left or right LOL.

Of the current popular man-made destination spots I've seen Vets Flagpole, Scapula Satellite - that's it 🥺

The tubes/xylophones are still there. Both sets are in the revised closure south of where the Disco Ball used to be. More military artifacts from the 40s.

The yellow plane was drug out but the OG military plane crashes are still there, although I'm certain the sand is hiding them to be revealed at a later time.
