IDK How You People Do It

Growing up all I ever wanted to do was live at the beach so I could just walk down the street to surf. Can't really do that anywhere else. I moved to the beach at 23 and 33 years later I'm still here

We've got the ocean, got the babes
Got the sun, we've got the waves
This is the only place for me

Born and raised here...it is all I know!
Not sure I would be happy any other place, everything is here and relatively close (Except for that traffic thingy)
LOL
I would love to have another home elsewhere, but where...I have no idea.

It's exactly like the Lobster in a pot analogy. You have seen it get worse and worse every day but it was gradual. Leave for a year and it would be unbearable on your return.

Traffic everywhere sucks especially if your not from the area. I can get to anyplace in the Phx. Metro area in about an hour, as long as I can chose the time of day. otherwise it could take me up to two hours to go all the way across the Valley.

Okay @Dockmaster where are the pics and shake down report inquiring minds want to know.
We all know you started this thread because you went down to pickup the new car.

For many of you didn’t make so much money off your house that was in California you would have to live the same life in shittier weather. You’d have to be closer to a big city and deal with traffic and all that comes with that.

I bought my Havasu house at the right time. I sold my San Diego house at what I thought was top of the market. It went up another $300k when things went stupid. Still happy with what I walked away with. Anything more I'd have had to pay taxes.

Ya know, even with all the beautiful stuff in CA, the fact that the people in this state think its ok to let out 2 F'n pieces of CRAP that blew their mothers head APART and ALL OVER the room, makes it a place I just don't want to live. OH and F the whole family that wants them out. Sick POS.

How do you folks live in California? I just drove from Oregon to Palm Springs over last two days:
1. The roads are in such terrible condition I’m surprised I have any teeth left
2. The driver’s here are hands-down the worst in the country.
3. Coalinga is the worst thing I’ve ever smelled.
3. I spent two hours in grid lock traffic on the 210 near Pasadena on a Saturday afternoon.

I don’t care how good the weather is. I’ll take some rain and long guilt free showers over this mess every day and twice on Sunday. Seriously how do you deal with this every day if you live here?

Well for starters...

We don't drive through Pasadena in a Saturday afternoon! 🤣🤣🤣

Coalinga? I've lived in SoCal my whole life. I have no clue where that is!

Bad drivers are are where the worst traffic is. Clearly, you seem to have found both? 😁

And it's probably best not to drive an unloaded one ton truck on a road trip. We usually take the Mercedes!

But also seriously...

CA is a very big state. You should try and explore the less traveled roads. 😎

And yes, I took all these pics. 😎

Damn, you're going to make me pack up and move behind enemy lines...

All jokes aside everyone talks about hating/leaving California. 7 years ago my best friend left north phoenix moved to San macros then to Temecula. If it wasn't for my job here i would have done the same...

The girlfriend & I have talked about it and if we ever left Arizona we would probably end up in the Temecula/Murietta area...

If you live in California stay, grass always seems greener on the other side...

The only way I would live in AZ...

Is in an area that's pine trees and mountains. Most people don't know Those areas exist either, but the definitely do!

North County (Vista, San Marcos, Oceanside) and Temecula are some of the best places to live, in this state.
