I've done the same thing, about 220-225F is what the CV body was reading. Drive flange on tranny was around 240F.

I would run the #1's with that power. Pro's have a taller paddle with a thicker base, less give.

I have 134 Amp requirement with all of my stuff running. I was going through the smaller amperage alternators. I bought the 240 Amp alternator from CBM with the larger pulley (as stated above, to slow it down). Been good ever since. As stated, all depends on your power requirements.
