Yup learned about the holes too and sealed them up.Windy days sand blows all over followed by some rain and you can end up with alot of sand. I also put a plate at the bottom and sealed it up done have any sand in there anymore but leasson learned and also replaced the main seal then as well.

Been using the standard imi hi torque starter without any issues. When I first did the swap I had the odyssey 680 battery it did great cold or cool but couldn’t hot start if I shut car off and tried to restart asap. Switched to the 925 battery no issues.

That sucks but like crusty said a kill switch and I’d do it off the fuel pump so you don’t have to pull the fuse. Many places to hide it.
