I am fortunate to generally go with a couple trail bosses that know the dunes like the back of their hand. They can maintain as fast a pace as any group can stand, yet still keep tabs on all cars, and end up at whatever destination you please. Me, I just bounce around like a Roomba LOL...

If it's an inline six, and not a Cummins, it's likely one of Ford's Brazilian tractor engines they were pushing in the medium duties at the time. IIRC they had 6.6 and 7.8 liter versions.
