Az (native from socal)
Had 87,89(never used), and 91
87 in the cars
91 in everything else

Now in Idaho (4000ft) they have
85
87
Clean 87 ethanol free
91

I still run 91 in all the toys but can i go down to 85 in the 2014 acadia v6 and/or the 2021 silverado 5.3 v8

I wouldn't run the 85 in cars..

I got 91 at Sams in Bullhead....did a small trip... 23.4 mpg.....filled up with Maverick 87...did same trip.....20.4mph.... hmmmmmmmmmmm. If it calls for 91 you should run it.

Forgot the price difference but ill run a little experiment and see if theres any gains-mpg and/or performance.

Its funny how gas changes through the states. Montana had 91 Ethanol Free at most stations and Red Dye diesel was really common.
Since being in AZ, think I saw 1 Ethanol Free in Havasu and no Red Dye anywhere. I run Red dye in a heater to save a few bucks over regular D.

I filled up with 85 coming through Idaho once. At the pump I wasnt sure what I was looking at. Made me a little nervous.
