The acquisition includes Warner Bros. Studios, HBO, HBO Max and the entire DC Universe with huge franchises like Harry Potter, Batman, Game of Thrones, Friends, The Big Bang Theory and the full WB film library set to arrive on Netflix while the Discovery networks will spin off into a separate company called Discovery Global. Netflix also plans to keep releasing WB movies in theaters.
Yes, Amazon Owns MGM studios so to compete, Netflix opened the wallet.
