Slide porting

Looking for any firsthand experience from anyone on here with slide porting?  I'm considering it on a HK VP9.

Any pros or cons?  Worth the cost?

Side porting is the old way of porting the reason you want top porting is to hold the barrel down enlign with target longer. Side porting helps with recoil but doesnt help with barrel rise so the second shot takes a mil a second longer.

slide porting or side porting? 

what does it do?  if it prevents ejection failures & its not happening then no point.  if it keeps it on target.........  could be useful.

Porting helps to reduce recoil.

Doesn't it increase muzle flash as well in a low to no light situation, I realize there will always be some, but read it direct sit up more into your field of vision.

I know about barrel porting, I was just curious about slide porting.  

I sent my slide in a coupe months ago for the work.  They are pretty backed up but hope to get it back soon!
