Sand car old school dome light replacement

Has anyone found a direct replacement led or something to make this hideous dome light go away with minimal work?

I think Axia alloys sells a clamp on LED dome light.

Hideous you say....that is the same dome light as in my '86 Nissan.  I was at the TrueValue and the floor guy pointed me to the RV section (Yes, there are still places where they meet you at the door and ask to help you, not like HD, Lowes and etc where you have to beg for help).

The bulb in that thing is nothing special.  It is a standard bulb.  Autozone, O'Reillys will have it and Napa will have a salesman that can help you.  You should be able to find it in white, amber (turn and parking light), red.

I really like having the switch on the light.

Don't fix what ain't broke.  You'd only see that light if you are looking up at it.

dome light out of a can am defender is about the same footprint but thin LED and has a switch like that on the light. would be a real close direct replacement

kartek has a good little selection of interior lights. I used a safe glow bar mount one. The same ones at the top of the link I attached. They are bar mount long ways but can be just surface bolted down. They are cheap and work good. The rigid ones are nice but spendy.

I have two of those in my rzr , one in each corner up top...it's like daylight in there... I put a switch to the left of the wheel....that way I control them.
