    Glamis this weekend!

Very entertaining. Saw the group of two wheelers on FB. Been in some groups like that in the desert. Pretty wild when you brail ride over the rocks. Miss a two wheeler in the dunes. Plushy ride no matter how rough it gets.

Carvana rant. Not even 10 minutes off the truck....

While we are dealing with tires I got in writing from carvana a 5-day extension on our 7-Day return period. Pretty cool

I do remember a while back they were losing big money. https://www.forbes.com/sites/jimhenry/2024/11/01/carvana-an-early-mover-in-auto-e-commerce-sells-its-2-millionth-car/

They are so fun. 2.0 boosted motor is like a 2 stroke when it hits the power band. Tiptronic paddle shifted 6 speed auto with wet clutches inside.

Well, Things are better this morning. Got to do a full inspection of the car and it is really nice. Car came from Maryland but only has 34000 miles on it. (Been in Cali for two years) As expected some light rust on the fasteners without good coatings but I don't see any concerns. Only a little...

Better pics of that tire. Looks safe to send your family down the road doesn't it?

Correct I figured it needed two new tires already. But if the European place replace the tires like it said per the carfax report it should have tires with date codes of 2022 or maybe 2021. There's no way I'm believing they put 2015 tires on the car when they replace them.

Whoever prepped this car had no problem slapping armor All over this big chunk. Amazing. And 3 of the tires are 9 years old.

Curious about anyone else that has carvana experience out there. How much bull is it when they say they do a full inspection. I can't believe they let us have this car with this huge chunk out of the tire. They give you 7 days to return it. There is a bunch of other work supposedly got done to...

Carvana rant. Not even 10 minutes off the truck....

So this is the post I just put on facebook. All right I'm going to vent and rant a little bit here. So with us selling the shop I'm going to have to bring all the cars home and use up the garage space. Meaning we have to sell Christys convertible because we can't leave it out in the heat...

Finally after about 3 weeks back and forth I just got insurance put on this truck. Stated value policy way way lower than what I have in it or what it would take to build but at least it has some coverage.

Certainly some work to do but the wiring has come a long long way. Spencer has been killing it. Tremendous amount of work to wire this whole truck and everything that is on it. I have the patina shop logo and all the back bolts for the cradle torqued for final hopefully.

I made the transmission shift cable bracket out of three pieces of 1/8 steel. Super strong.

Once I drilled in roughly 5/8 of an inch that steel got super hard. Regular drill bit would not even drill it in the lathe. Had to go slow with it chattering like crazy. Even the back side tapping for the set screws that is some really strong steel. Probably work hardened from all the heat as...
