    091 to 2D swap ?'s

I'm gonna go ahead and do this swap in the next couple of months. Current situation is an 091 mated to a J35a4. My question is, can I re-use anything like the starter, adaptor plate, clutch/pressure plate?  I know I'll be doing some fab work and buying new axles.

    Buffed Tires

I went with a set of Yokohama 33" and had em buffed. I wanted M.T.'s but they are hard to come by these days.

    Monster Trucks in Glamis

Boardmanville shared a video on Instagram showing a monster truck, I believe from a Monster Energy video or something. This got me thinking....Does anyone remember waaaay back in the mid to late 80's when a bunch of the big name monster trucks came out to Glamis? I remember they were all staged...

    Implements in the Sand

Those 9.50 implement tires would work well for the size you need. You could also take them to Parkhouse and have them shaved to a Mohawk. That might give you a bit more bite in the turns. I had Parkhouse buff a set of Yokohama 33" for me a few weeks ago and it was $25 per tire.

    Trailing arm design

So I had no luck with minor adjustments, hogging out the mounts and adding weld washers. The arm needed to move up too far to get me what I needed. So I decided to cut off the old inner mounts and make up some new ones. I've tacked one side in place and cycled the trailing arm and all seems to...

    Trailing arm design

So I decided to tear one side off today. It seems to me that cutting these inner mounts off and replacing them with new, thicker mounts with better gussets would be the way to go. I'll position them to hopefully get the desired result.  I'll also be replacing the bolts with the correct shoulder...

    Trailing arm design

What are the pros and cons of having a VW style outer pivot point vs a dual bushing style? I get there is a bit of adjustment using a heim joint. Is there a strength or longevity benefit? I have a car that's had negative camber from the start. It's using VW style outer pivots.  I can't acheive...

How many Members actually still go to Glamis?

I've been pretty consistent since 1983. Missed a few seasons in the mid 90's when my family gave it up. Took me a few years to build a new group and been duning with them ever since.
