Yep. The "I have to have 300 miles of range!" thing is dumb. You're carrying around 1,000 extra pounds all year for the 4x a year you need the range... Granted, hybrid means you're carrying a gas engine around all year for the 4x a year you need the range, but that's a lot lighter (250-300lbs).
