Brian was the lead Fab at Alumicraft for a long time. He opened Podium after AC changed hands. I vetted him for a new car. He has a nice design but hadn't built one yet when I talked to him in February. Super nice guy and his work looks great. I really wanted to build with him but couldn't get...
Easy but dangerous as F--K! What happens if one of those vice grips comes off and now you have a live cable floating around in there. Not to mention you have to leave the box open. If you're gonna do that at least throw a spare breaker on the bus and hook your bare wires to that and backfeed...
Can't speak to Cali permit issues but these type of gens don't have to be super expensive if you shop around. I have an off-grid second house. I found an industrial rated Generac 15kw LPG/NG gen on Ebay. A contractor that did work for a clean room aquired it in a relocation. It only had 105 hrs...
I hope this gen works out for you. Sadly, B&S, like many other names known for quality, just aren't what they used to be. B&S was bought in 2020 by a PE firm and this usually does not mean good things for the consumer.
My new trailer has dual 40 gal tanks that are selectable. I don't plan to use multiple fuels but nice to have the options if I ever to decide to re-tune to 110 race gas or similar. I would be able to still carry typical 92 for the other toys.
Did you ever find the fuel tanks and system you were looking for? If not, here's a place you can buy everything you need. The Toy Hauler tab and Specialty Tank tab on this site have everything listed there:

I'm putting one of these Acumen units in my new sand car. Not using the Switch Pro part , just the monitor. This allows me to omit the Garmin unit since I was only really using that for the monitor for back up camera.
Just saw a pretty new one listed for sale a week or so ago for $325k. Doesn’t appear that saving a few bucks on a transaxle is the motive on these cars. Has to be another reason to do front engine I would think.
I’ve seen a few of the new Racer front engine sand cars now. I’m curious what the benefit of the front engine is? Is the car better balanced or something? Seems like the weight up front would be much harder on the front suspension? And from photos engine maintenance and repair looks like it...
I bought new HJC helmets for me and the wife from PCI at the SSSS. Pumper with speakers and mics wired and all ready to go. They even shipped them to me for free
For me the important thing is what I’m not doing this weekend. I’m not putting up Xmas lights like I used to on this weekend , every year for more years than I can count. It was one of my least favorite things to do. Last year I spent the $$ and took the time to put up the permanent mount...
I keep thinking my agent is doing a crap job too. Twice I've gone out for quotes and shocked at what others come back with. Earlier this year I got connected with the personal client services division of the commercial insurance company we use at work. It's one of those deals you have to be...
Someone is about to be on the 6:00 news tonight. "Man burns down house frying turkey in his kitchen".
Seriously, I hope not but good grief, take that outside.
Yes, I get that. And yes, it is JetTrim. The seat order still goes through Funco. So I have to get my decision to Grant so he can place the order with JetTrim. I don’t want my delivery delayed waiting for seats. And Grant certainly doesn’t want a car sitting in his shop waiting for seats.
