I found a used, but reportedly in good condition Whipple 4.5 from a board member. Bought it and it should be on it's way to Whipple soon. I'll have them go completely through it and make it as like new as possible. Thanks GD.com for connecting us!

Thanks. I may contact seller if I can't make a deal on a rebuildable core I'm trying to get. Looks are my least concern. I'm after decent power, predictable driveability, reliability and not a one off design that can't be easily serviced and repaired when necessary. Good points on fuel...

I think the front throttle body location of the Magnuson’s is problematic. Not 100% certain but seems as though it would be an issue.

Yep, Wegner is what I heard too. Don't think LS3 will work for me though unfortunately. Kind of ironic that I went with the 4.5 because they were supposed to be readily available :rolleyes::rolleyes:

Thanks. I'll talk to my builder. My understanding is the accessory drives for LS on these new gen Whipples are difficult to come by or really expensive. But I may be confusing that with the new 3.8 supposedly coming out that is to replace the 4.0

Bump - still searching for a 4.5 Whipple for an LS7. I'm chasing down a lead on one possibility for a used, rebuildable one. I've been offered a few others but asking prices are way above what Whipple sells them for which I'm not complaining about. Supply and demand dynamics alive and well...

I checked with Alper. He thinks he has a few coming so fingers crossed there. I did not check with CBM. I was under the impression CBM guys retired and basically closed down. No?
