There’s a helicopter company there though… My buddy worked for them. That frame is pure beef, but McLaren engineers did the suspension. Guess we’ll see if they’re beefy enough. Which, it isn’t. Lol. IFS tie rods don’t like heavy duty wheeling though.

He’s just been driving it. AC has a leak somewhere, so that’s next on the docket.

    Trick to removing bearings?

All the ugga duggas? :ROFLMAO: I usually ugga dugga the shit out of it while spinning the rotor, then back off, then re-ugga dugga to pretty damned tight and put the pin in. Supposedly it’s retorque to 50, but I’ve had them get loose from that with paddles/offroad abuse. So, lots of ugga dugga.

    Trick to removing bearings?

After removing the snap ring on the back side… (I maaaaay have forgotten once) I usually use a punch to shove the outer bearing out from the inside, pull the spacer, then drive the inner out with a large socket. Don’t forget to pull the wheel/cotter pin off and re-torque after the first run.

LOL. I never hear complaints from my neighbors (all but one of us gets along perfectly). Just making a quip about how fucking loud that thing is.

There’s also a pair of bars going down to the front diff support sorta in line. Definitely not optimal though. Won’t matter anyway: no way the bend in the A pillar outlasts the 3-4 tubes supporting the wonky connector. Any aftermarket cage would be best if it had an “FIA bar” supporting that...

anyone have any input on the AMG E43 and E53's?

M276 3.5L is reliable (NA, but not sold after 2018) and reliable-ish (twin turbo, last year 2023). Most everything else is typical over-complicated German gahbage that is great, but only under warranty. Also: there's a high/low pressure mode on the oil pumps on a lot of these. Unplugging it...

Kawasaki released the Teryx 4 H2 today! 250HP

Only SxS cage I’ve seen that’s supported correctly for the most common crash: a rollover. Supporting the corners is absolutely necessary in a roll cage. Central spine is good, but if you leave the corners open with no triangulation, they can and will collapse to the silly V bars front and rear...
