Fixing V-Band flare on exhaust pipe?

The exhaust pipe on our motorhome has fallen off at the turbo twice now. The first time I just put everything back together and made sure the v-band was nice and tight. This time I pulled the exhaust off the coach and found the it looks like the flare on the exhaust pipe has been worn down/off? To the point the v-band can no longer grip it.
Can the exhaust pipe be reflared buy maybe an exhaust shop? Or is there some other trick to fixing? Or do I have to cut this worn flare off and weld in a new flared pipe?

Anyone else run into this issue?

I think an exhaust shop that deals with turbos would be your best bet, or just a new downpipe.

I have a MIG, can weld it so it won't die, but it also won't look amazing. Someone like @Sausage450r is who you go to for beauty in fabrication.

That was likely a “formed” flange originally. Not very strong. Cut it off and stub on a nice machined vband. Wetmores on johnson in el cajon may have the parts. Make sure you know what model turbo you have. They will need to know to get you appropriate parts

This is a formed vband flange. They are thin anywhere from .035-.065

Looks like I get to crawl under this pig again and figure out what turbo is on there.
Yeah, I don't thing the original flange had the double back flare. I think it was just single flared. Hope these aren't to expensive. Trying to get the coach put back together so we can sell it for my mother-in-law. But I can't just band-aid it and pass this issue on to the next owner. Oh the fun of owning motorhomes.

Went by Westmore today. They didn't have anything like what you are showing. Only option they came up with is a flared pipe like Jersey_Jeff linked.
I need to research a little more to make sure I order up the correct flare dia etc. Fun times.

What are the dimensions of your turbo outlet flange (o.d) does it have a recess machined into it?
