It's Friday July 4th 2025.. What is everyone doing this weekend?

Well I normally post this on Saturday but today being the Holiday and start of the weekend what is everyone doing? For me I will be Home alone doing Laundry go grocery shopping sweep and Mop my Floors Nothing exciting at all..

Next I want to wish Cheff's wife SHARON a Great big Happy Birthday today... I know they are celebrating with a few GD members out there and have a great day.

'Murica party at my place!!!!!

We're having 30-40 people over. Starting smoking 4 racks of ribs at 6am after they're done, dropping da shicken + corn.

Gonna have a tub filled with ice and Miller Lites + self-serve bar.

Pool slide rental is ready, trampoline with misters, and slip 'n slide with pool is getting set up now.

May post pics later.

To start the long weekend. We started the morning off going down to our well to fill our water bottles right out of the well. Yes we are on well water for the home but we like to get it right out of the well head. Then ate my first santa rosa plum off of one of my trees. Then tapped into water supply to install our solar swimming pool shower. This was about $150. We tried it out on a pallet to see how we like it— we love it. The body is about 8” abs and has hot and cold water. The abs warms the water in the main body and it works surprisingly well. Will have a drain and pour some concrete

Just got back from skating up the Strand to visit friends at the Ironman Triathlon, a Hermosa Beach tradition that is now 52 years old (run a mile, paddle a mile, then drink a six pack of yore preferred ICDB). Winner is the first person to complete it and hold it down for 20 minutes afterward. It's a South Bay right of passage and a good time was being had by all (except those who were puking). It's grown huge over the last decade and there had to have been over a thousand people there.

Gonna lay low until noon or so and then head down to the pier to see what shenanigans are going Figure I'll play the rest of the weekend by ear . . .
